Richard McDermott is a distinguished reverse mortgage specialist with over 20 years of banking experience. Before joining NJ Lenders in Spring 2022, he was the head of the Reverse Mortgages Division at Ocean First Bank. He subsequently advanced to Investors Bank, where he served as Vice President, Director of Reverse Mortgages, and Business Banker, earning the esteemed Top Deposits Volume Award for his exemplary performance.

Renowned for his ability to cultivate impactful partnerships within the community, Richard is certified in leadership through the Dale Carnegie Management Program. He has received the New Jersey State Policemen’s Benevolent Association Silver Card, acknowledging his unwavering support for First Responders. Additionally, he serves as a Trustee of the Middlesex 200 Club and was honored with the Uniformed Firefighters Association of NYC Award for his significant contributions to support and fundraising efforts following September 11, 2001.

Outside of his professional commitments, Richard is deeply engaged in philanthropic initiatives, sponsoring and participating in events for organizations that support children with special needs. He has been recognized with resolutions and several Mayoral Proclamations from Woodbridge Township for his steadfast dedication to the community.
